Strength.

Lately I've been getting back in touch with some friends that I haven't hung out with in awhile. In the hustle and bustle of catching up, one of the first things you encounter are problems and issues that people go through.

To my not-so-much surprise, it seems as though most of my friends go through the same problems that we all go through. Namely, relationship problems.

I once read a book called Dangerous Liasons, an eighteenth century novel. You guys probably know it better as the book that the movie, Cruel Intentions, is based on. Truthfully, even though the book was written when the Industrial Revolution first started, and the film adaptation was done in modern times with a modern backdrop: both stories are remarkably similar.

The main thing that I got from reading this book, was this: While horse drawn buggies have been replaced by Hondas and BMWs, people went through the exact same relationship problems back then, that we go through today.

When you talk to friends, its sometimes eerie how their personal problems in life so closely mirror your own. I've got a lot of friends, and it seems like almost all of us go through the same issues, namely with the opposite sex.

There are no clear paths in life, or definite solutions that fix certain problems. But I wish sometimes that I could lend some of my friends the will to get through situations where strength is so necessary.

Seems as though the hardest problems in life usually require sheer will power, which manifests through an unwavering propensity to endure. Be strong, stay strong, don't let weakness keep you from doing what you believe is right in your heart.

We need strength in life because it is always the HARDEST things that turn out to be the things that we MUST do. And having strength helps to give us the willpower to do what we MUST in life.

People, when you feel down in the dumps, don't ever think that you're not the only one. And don't ever think that no one can understand. Isolation leads to depression. It's this human camaraderie that comes from knowing you're not alone, which is the place where the will to strive exists.

While we all have moments of weakness, that is all they should be: moments.

Be Strong.
